SNAP FEATURING TURBO B

Snap are unconventional musical trailblazers, which is why they have become one of the most internationally successful German pop acts in history.
With their dancefloor anthem "The Power" the name Snap became, practically, overnight, the worldwide trademark for top class dance music and this was strengthened by the succession of hits that followed - "Oops Up", "Cult Of Snap" and "Mary Had A Little Boy".

Snap is a dance act who decided against reproducing their first hit sound many times over just to capitalise on the current trend. Instead they offer a broad based musical experience with a constant flow of innovative ideas. Their debut album, "World Power" went on to become one of dance music's few mega-sellers.

The second album, "The Madman's Return" produced another No. 1 smash with "Rhythm Is A Dancer" followed by "Exterminate" and "Do You See The Light".

With "Welcome To Tomorrow" the story continues. The first single and title track, reached the charts back in October and the second, "The First The Last Eternity" was released in March. The next single to be lifted from the album is to be "The World In My Hands",once again featuring Summer on the vocals and supported by an amazing new futuristic video due to be debuted during late August around Europe. All the recent videos have been made in-house by the producers themselves and shot using the creative talents of their long-time collaborator Angel as director.

Who or what Snap really is seems to be a secret for the chosen few! Snap themselves, whether consciously or not, have helped fan the mystery. It began with the many pseudonyms used by the two Frankfurt based producers and composers, Michael Muenzing and Luca Anzilotti. As DJ's they were only too aware of the preconceived notions about German productions and decided to list themselves in the credits of Snap's first album as Benito Benites and John "Virgo" Garrett III. The mystery continued with the comings and goings of the singers who occupied the stage next to rapper Turbo B, Jackie Harris, Penny Ford and Thea Austin, then by herself, Niki Harris - and also Paula Brown, alias Summer.

Snap released the single "Gimme A Thrill" on May 06, 2000.

Trevor Beresford Romeo OBE, known as Jazzie B, is a DJ and music producer. He is a founding member of the musical group Soul II Soul. He is mainly credited for producing and vocal dialogue.

In 1990, Soul II Soul picked up two Grammys. Jazzie was given the keys to seven cities in the U.S., including Los Angeles, California and New York.

Jazzie B has not only produced for Soul II Soul, but he has also produced and remixed tracks for The Fine Young Cannibals, Incognito, Maxi Priest, James Brown, Kym Mazelle, Rose Windross, Cheryl Lynn, Public Enemy, Johnny Gill, Caron Wheeler, Isaac Hayes, SinĂ©ad O’Connor, Teena Marie, Ziggy Marley, The Jones Girls, Nas, and Destiny’s Child.

He was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2008 New Year Honours.

Soul II Soul is a British double award-winning Grammy act that emerged from London at the end of the 1980s . The group initially attracted attention as a sound system, playing records at house and street parties (where their clothing style - dubbed "Funki Dred" - quickly made a splash, inspiring them to start a line of clothing). Founded by Jazzie B and featuring a changing roster of other musicians - notably Nellee Hooper, Simon Law, Phillip 'Daddae' Harvey and Caron Wheeler - Soul II Soul's experiments in music-making of their own resulted in the dub plate "Fairplay," which secured them a deal with Virgin Records. They had huge hits in 1989 with the singles "Keep on Movin'" and "Back to Life (However Do You Want Me)," both from their debut album Club Classics Vol. I. These songs (both featuring Wheeler on vocals) set the tone for early 1990s mainstream dance music in the UK.

Doreen Waddell, a former singer with Soul II Soul living in Clarendon Villas, Hove, died after being hit by three cars while fleeing from a shoplifting incident. The 36-year-old, who left behind a four-year-old son, sang some lead vocal parts on Soul II Soul's 1989 Club Classics Volume I album.

Their follow-up album, Vol. II: 1990 - A New Decade, yielded the hits "Get A Life" and "A Dream's A Dream," the latter featuring operatic vocals by Victoria Wilson-James. While their U.S. following declined somewhat following its release, Soul II Soul continued to have hits in the UK, including 1992's #4 single, "Joy."

Soul II Soul reached Volume 5 of their series for Virgin in 1995, then released two more albums for Island Records.

In October 2004 "Keep on Movin" appeared in the videogame Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, playing on R&B, Soul radio station, CSR 103.9.

The Soul II Soul Sound System featuring Caron Wheeler will be touring Australia nationally in February 2009. They are also playing the Playground Weekender Festival near Sydney, New South Wales. The group are currently finishing up recording sessions for their seventh album to be released in 2009.

On 2 December 2008 a programme on Soul II Soul appeared on BBC Radio 4.

The daughter of former member Melissa Bell, Alexandra Burke, was the winner of the 2008, fifth season of the UK television talent competition/show, The X Factor.
